DeepLumen alternative for Shopify stores: how Arenza compares (2026)

DeepLumen and Arenza both install from the Shopify App Store and list $0 a month, but they bill differently: DeepLumen's listing says 5%-15% of sales attributed to it; Arenza bills only qualifying orders whose last visit was an Arenza page. Who should pick which.

If you searched for a DeepLumen alternative, you are probably a Shopify merchant who wants ChatGPT and other AI assistants to recommend your products, and who prefers an app that is free to install and only costs money when it brings sales. DeepLumen and Arenza both fit that description. This guide explains where they are alike (a lot), where they differ, and when DeepLumen is the better pick. Everything about DeepLumen below comes from its own Shopify App Store listing and website, checked on October 14, 2026.

The short version

  • On paper the pricing model is very similar. Both list $0 a month, the first 3 orders free (DeepLumen: "attributed" orders; Arenza: "qualifying" orders), then a commission. DeepLumen's website describes its performance billing as "planned", with current terms confirmed in the app listing or at onboarding. Compare the terms before you choose.
  • The real difference is the approach. DeepLumen publishes an AI-readable copy of your catalog so AI agents can read your products. Arenza checks what ChatGPT and Google AI Mode actually say about your buyers' questions, then drafts product-page fixes you approve.
  • Both show AI-driven sales. DeepLumen offers "AI Sales Attribution". Arenza shows which Shopify orders came from AI assistants like ChatGPT.

What DeepLumen does well

DeepLumen has a clear, easy-to-explain product. Its listing says it "publishes AI-readable versions of your catalog so AI agents can find, trust, and recommend your products." It adds an "AI Visibility Score," "AI SEO & AEO" improvements for products, collections and blogs, an automatically synced AI-readable catalog, and llms.txt and structured data without theme changes. Its listing says setup takes 5 minutes; its website says about 15.

It also has social proof that is hard to ignore: the listing shows a 4.9 rating from 78 reviews and states it is "Trusted by 2,000+ Shopify merchants" (that figure is DeepLumen's own claim, which we have not verified). It offers a free AI visibility audit.

If you want a store that machines can read cleanly, with minimal involvement, DeepLumen is built for exactly that.

Where Arenza differs

Arenza starts from the buyer's question, not the catalog. The Shopify app checks what ChatGPT and Google AI Mode say about the questions your buyers ask, so you can see whether your store comes up and what is missing.

Arenza drafts fixes that you approve. It drafts product-page improvements such as best-for, FAQs, review proof, comparisons, shipping and returns details, structured data and buyer guides. You approve what goes live. It can also suggest clearer titles and descriptions, but nothing changes until you approve it, and you can undo any change.

Arenza shows AI-driven orders in your store. It shows which Shopify orders came from AI assistants like ChatGPT. Stores using Arenza already see orders arriving from AI assistants, nearly all from ChatGPT.

Billing is a separate, smaller set of orders. AI-referred orders are shown for information. Only qualifying orders are billed: fully paid orders whose buyer's last visit lands on an Arenza product page or a guide Arenza published.

There is a free check before you install. You can see what AI says about your store at arenza.ai/score.

A coverage difference to be aware of: DeepLumen's listing names Gemini and Claude among the AI assistants it works with; our Shopify app's checks cover ChatGPT and Google AI Mode.

A note on the commission details

DeepLumen's App Store listing shows "5%-15% of sales attributed to Deeplumen." Its website pricing page says "The performance-based model is planned" (deeplumen.com/pricing) and notes that "No universal rate is published." As with any commission-based app, confirm the rate for your store inside the app before you activate. Arenza also confirms the rate for your store, and you can see order-level commission details in the app.

Who should pick which

Pick DeepLumen if:

  • You want the AI-readable catalog approach: structured, machine-friendly versions of your products published for you.
  • You care about a large installed base and review count.
  • You want Gemini and Claude named among the assistants the product works with.

Pick Arenza if:

  • You want to see what ChatGPT and Google AI Mode actually say about your buyers' questions before you change anything.
  • You want specific page fixes (FAQs, comparisons, review proof, buyer guides) drafted for you to approve.
  • You want to approve every change before it goes live.

Not sure? Both are free to install and charge a commission only on orders they bring (by their own definitions), so trying one does not stop you trying the other. Check the commission terms of each in-app first.
